Café 58 is the high school canteen which is located in the Tony Dobson Pavilion. The Tony Dobson pavilion was built in 2001 and named in honour of the school’s first lay Headmaster. The canteen – originally a Nino’s franchise and then “Basil’s at Bennies” - was re-named in 2016 when the school established its own Food and Beverage Department. Café 58 is – of course – a reference to the year in which our school was established. This facility is generally open from 7:00 to 16:00 during the week and on weekends when home fixtures are being played. An extensive and affordable menu is on offer.
Upstairs@Café 58 is a function room used for a variety of functions such as meetings, reunions, parties, and gatherings of every description. This facility is off-limits to under 18’s as it is also where our bar is located. It is a very popular venue for lunch and drinks for staff, parents and visitors on Saturdays for home fixtures. This opens onto a large, covered veranda from which people can enjoy a stunning view of the rugby and cricket games being played on the school’s main fields.
